Overview

Remmy is a reminder app that helps you remember birthdays and important dates. We built Remmy with privacy in mind — your data stays on your device.

What We Collect

Data Stored on Your Device Only

Contact information: Names and dates you add to Remmy are stored locally on your device. We do not upload or sync this data to any server.

Reminder preferences: Your notification settings and reminder times are stored locally.

Data Processed by Third Parties

AI-generated messages: When you use the AI message feature, we send minimal context (occasion type, relationship type) to OpenAI to generate a personalized message. We do not send contact names or phone numbers.

Subscription management: We use RevenueCat to process subscriptions. RevenueCat receives your Apple App Store or Google Play purchase information to validate your subscription.

Analytics (Optional)

We may collect anonymous usage analytics to improve the app, such as app opens and feature usage, crash reports, and device type and OS version. This data is anonymized and cannot be used to identify you.

What We Don't Collect

We do not collect your contacts or address book, phone numbers, messages you send, location data, or personal identifiers.

Data Storage

All your personal data (contacts, dates, preferences) is stored locally on your device using secure storage. If you delete the app, this data is permanently deleted.

We do not have access to your data. We cannot recover it if you lose your device.

Your Rights

You can delete your data anytime by deleting the app, opt out of analytics in app settings, and cancel your subscription through your device's app store.

Children's Privacy

Remmy is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app.
